About this event

If you have a collection of well-loved cassettes or just appreciate the specific warmth of analog recording, I would love for you to join us for an afternoon of gear talk and shared listening. This is a relaxed, informal gathering for anyone in Sydney who still finds magic in the mechanical process of magnetic tape. We will be spending the time trading stories about our favorite decks, discussing the quirks of different tape stocks, and simply enjoying the tactile nature of a medium that refuses to go digital. Whether you are a seasoned technician who spends your weekends calibrating heads or someone who just enjoys the sound of a good mixtape, you will fit right in here. There is no agenda other than connecting with others who value the slow, intentional process of analog audio. We will have a quiet space to chat and swap tips on maintenance and finding gear. If you have been looking for a group of people who understand why we still bother with tape, please let us know you are coming by sending an RSVP so we can get an idea of numbers.
