Teens, Tweens. Join the Teen Advisory Committee (TAC): Lead, Serve, and Create! Want to make your voice heard and help shape what happens at your library? The Stratford Branch Library is looking for motivated teens to join the Teen Advisory Committee (TAC)—a team of young leaders who help connect local youth with the library and the wider community. As a TAC member, you won’t just attend meetings—you’ll help plan programs, influence decisions, and create a better space for teens through service, advocacy, and leadership. Why Join TAC? Joining TAC isn’t just another club—it’s a leadership opportunity that can help you grow personally and professionally. Earn Volunteer Hours Receive official service hours for attending monthly meetings and supporting library programs. Build Real Skills Gain hands-on experience in event planning, teamwork, public speaking, and project management—great additions to college and scholarship applications. What You’ll Do As a TAC member, you’ll act as a teen consultant for the library, helping staff understand what teens want and need. Plan Events Help brainstorm and host activities like gaming tournaments, craft nights, or even a mini “Comic-Con” program. Advocate for Teens Recommend new books and Manga and help improve teen spaces in the library. Promote & Connect Create social media content, spread the word about events, and collaborate with local school clubs. Interested in Joining?
