Cover6 Community Meet & Greet × BSides NoVA: Halloween Party

About this event

This month the Meet & Greet goes to BSides NoVA. We're skipping the hotel this time. Cover6 Community is joining the BSides NoVA 10th-anniversary Halloween Party at George Mason's Mason Square campus in Arlington. Same idea as always: no agenda, no slides, just the DMV security community in one room. This time it's a bigger room, with fireside chats, scary movies, food and drinks. 👉 Step 1: Register for BSides NoVA (Oct 30–31) https://www.eventbrite.com/e/bsidesnova-2026-cyber-security-conference-30-31-arlington-va-tickets-2002245202299?aff=cover6community Then RSVP here so we know you're coming with the community. 🎃 The party: Friday, 5:00 PM, Threat Village (Fuse, Room 1311-A). Costumes welcome. 🔎 Come early: Tyrone runs a 4-hour hands-on workshop Friday morning, 8:00 AM, Room 118 "First Watch: Live SOC Threat Hunting Against Real Internet Attack Traffic." You hunt a brand-new incident in a live Splunk environment fed by real attack traffic. Nobody in the room has seen the scenario before. https://bsidesnova-2026.sessionize.com/session/1321030 👋 Find our table. Cover6 has a community table at BSides. Come say hi to Tyrone and the team on Friday: path advice, resume tips, a few CTF challenges, and good conversation. 🙋 Want to help? BSides NoVA is still looking for volunteers. It's one of the best ways to meet people in this field: https://www.bsidesnova.org/call-for-volunteers/ Full BSides schedule: https://bsidesnova-2026.sessionize.com/schedule BSides NoVA has been part of this community's story for years, and this is their 10th.
