AI for Everyday Life
About this event
Adults, Seniors. AI is changing how we interact with technology, and it already powers many tools and services we use every day. If you are curious about the latest AI headlines but unsure what they mean for your day-to-day life, you’re in the right place. Join us for a practical, beginner-friendly workshop designed to help you navigate this technology with confidence. Brad Frenette, CBC's AI Advisor for Sports and Entertainment, will host the workshop, which will feature activities, group discussions, and explainer videos hosted by CBC's Andrew Chang. We’ll dive into practical uses and useful tips for writing effective prompts, and discover how to safely manage these tools' real risks and limitations, including spotting deepfakes and recognizing why and how AI makes mistakes. This program is in partnership with the CBC. Filming Notice: This event may be recorded.
