Lifting Literacy: Trick or Treat at the Maple Valley Library

About this event

Kids (Ages 6 to 8), Preschool (Ages 3 to 5), Tweens (Ages 9 to 11). Drop in any time between 1:00-3:00pm During Lifting Literacy events, the Tahoma School District Reading Specialists and librarians take over the Maple Valley Library for literacy fun! Parents get a chance to talk to the reading teachers with any questions they might have about their K-5 reader while the kids have some library fun. • Explore the Pacific Science Center's Spacy Odyssey Exhibit in the meeting room • Create creepy origami with Emily's Papercrafts • Wear your costumes or come as you are. • Trick or treat around the library. • Halloween Stories with Librarian Sharon at 1:15. • crafts and more! • Book Swap! Bring up to 5 of your own books that you're finished with and trade them in for new-to-you books. Intended for ages 5 to 12 but all ages welcome. Registration not required.
