The evidence is on the table. Your job is to figure out what actually happened. For this special Halloween-month event, Tokyo Expat Social Club is trying something new: Tokyo Mystery Night, a team-based fictional case-solving experience where you’ll work together to examine clues, question assumptions, and build a theory before the final reveal. You’ll be placed into a small team and receive a case file containing different pieces of evidence — such as suspect profiles, timelines, messages, receipts, photographs, statements, and other clues. Over the course of the afternoon, your team will need to compare information, spot inconsistencies, connect details, and decide: Who did it? Why? And how? At the end, each team will submit its final theory before we reveal what actually happened. This is not a roleplaying event, and you don’t need to act, perform, or come in costume. It’s closer to solving a mystery together around a table with enough structure to keep things interesting, but plenty of room for discussion and debate. No mystery-game or puzzle experience is needed. You also don’t need to come with a team.
