About this event

Mushin (無心): The Innocent Mind Letting Go of Judgments and Discovering Genuine Connection 🥋 We are A.L.L.! | Aiki Leadership Lab 📅 Tuesday 20 October 2026 🕔 17:00–18:00 Amsterdam time 💻 Online via Zoom 🎟️ Free | Everyone welcome 🌸 About This Session How often do we judge someone before we really know them? Our previous experiences naturally influence how we perceive the world. When we encounter someone whose appearance, behaviour, or attitude reminds us of a previous experience, our mind may immediately respond: "Oh no, here we go again!" But what if this person is different? Mushin (無心), often translated as "no mind" or "innocent mind", describes a state of awareness free from preconceived judgments, emotional attachments, and unnecessary mental interference. It invites us to approach each encounter with openness, curiosity, and renewed awareness. 🤝 What We'll Explore In this interactive discussion, we'll consider: • How our past experiences shape our judgments of others. • Why we sometimes respond to our memories rather than the person in front of us. • How to recognise and release preconceived assumptions. • How an innocent mind can create opportunities for genuine human connection. 🎯 A Small Experiential Challenge Think of someone you recently judged based on a familiar behaviour or characteristic. What assumptions did you make? What might you discover if you approached that person as though meeting them for the first time? We'll explore these questions together through conversation, reflection, and practical exercises. 🌱 About Aiki Leadership Lab Aiki Leadership Lab (A.L.L.) is a free community exploring leadership, personal development, and human connection through Aikido principles and Japanese philosophy.
