A blessing is fundamentally the extension of forgiveness and love. In A Course in Miracles it is described as recognizing the inherent holiness and perfection in others as reflections of one's own divine nature. Blessings occur with a miracle, a universal gift from God given by individuals to all brothers, while remembering our oneness with the Divine. Blessings affirm the unity of all minds. Giving a blessing feels like a gentle service that reinforces one's own innocence, while receiving it acknowledges our perfect equality. This reciprocal process clears the mind of obstacles, allows divine love to flow, and culminates in a shared blessedness. These are your creations. Objectively, the experience can be described as a deliberate practice of redirecting ego perceptions to be reinterpreted by the Holy Spirit. This clears the mental conflict, enhances relational harmony, and provides an inner tranquility that extends outward. The result: a sense of freedom, healing, and awareness of a shared brotherhood of all Beings.
