More Secrets from the World of Bunker Hill’s Historical Spirits (with MaryLee Trettenero)
About this event
All Adults, College Students, Older Adults, Young Adults (Ages 20-34). In the book We’re Still Here: The Secret World of Bunker Hill’s Historical Spirits, audiences learned how the restless spirits of Charlestown could no longer conceal the truth of what they witnessed during revolutionary times. But the land holds far more secrets than a single book could contain. Join local author MaryLee Trettenero for an intimate continuation of this spiritual journey. Armed with lawn chairs, open minds, and historical reverence, MaryLee and a collaborative spirit artist returned to Charlestown's sacred spaces—from the shadow of Bunker Hill to the historic Training Field and the ancient energies surrounding Warren Tavern. This presentation introduces the souls who didn’t make it into the first book. The audience will meet everyday colonial residents, Revolutionary War figures, and spirits from later generations. Crucially, this talk features a gallery display of never-before-seen portrait sketches drawn by the spirit artist during these raw, firsthand encounters, putting faces to the voices that still echo in our neighborhood today. Are you ready to open your heart and mind to hear them? Accessibility Notice: We strive to make our events accessible.
