Welcome to Paradise: A Dark Comedy — Table Read of a Two-Act Play (with Playwright Christine Anne Linnane)

All Adults. Join South Boston resident Christine Anne Linnane for a public Table Read of her play Welcome to Paradise: A Dark Comedy, cowritten by Garth Napier. Based on the cartel violence that rocked the Zona Romántica district of Puerta Vallarta, Mexico in February of 2026, this new play takes a comic look at a tragic events. A table read is an organized meeting where the writer and actors/actresses sit around a table and read a script aloud. Participants take turns reading out loud without using memorization. The group will then discuss the play after the conclusion of the table read to provide feedback, ideas, suggestions, etc. This is a great opportunity to witness how playwrights develop their work! Reading out loud is optional and observers are welcome to watch. Light refreshments will be served. 1 person to read stage directions all indented in italics 7 characters that are available to read for: Drag Queen, Fernando, Christine, Calm Tourist, Canadian 1, Canadian 2 and American Woman.
