Upcycled Notebook Workshop

Adults: 18 and up, Teens: 13 to 19 years. Do you like notebooks? Do you like making things out of secondhand materials? Then we have the class for you! In this workshop led by Candice Conner, you'll learn to make a notebook using mostly secondhand materials. All materials will be supplied, including a pile of ephemera you can peruse for the cover. We'll also go over what materials you need for making spiral notebooks - both how to get the materials new and secondhand. You'll walk away with a cute little notebook, instructions on how to make a notebook on your own, and a newfound addiction to all things secondhand (if you already didn't have that). -- Candice Conner is a self-proclaimed secondhand addict. Most of the things in her house are sourced from secondhand venues, including a vast array of paper products and ephemera. In 2022, she bought a spiral binding machine to make notebooks out of said paper products and ephemera. And the rest, as they say, is history.
