INKWELL WRITERS’ RETREAT 2026 A Creative Writing Retreat at Bellevue Hotel, Penang Hill 25–26 November 2026 | Wednesday–Thursday In the lead-up to the George Town Literary Festival, 27–29 November 2026, Inkwell invites writers to step away from the everyday, find inspiration in nature, and reconnect with the joy of writing at a special two-day creative retreat at Bellevue Hotel, Penang Hill, Malaysia. Surrounded by the tranquillity, heritage and natural beauty of Penang Hill, this retreat offers a welcoming space to explore ideas, experiment with words, share our work and strengthen the writing community that sustains and inspires us all. What to Expect Generative writing exercises to spark creativity and open up new possibilities. Sharing and discussion in a supportive, encouraging environment. Creative exploration with fellow writers, exchanging ideas and learning from one another. Community building to deepen the connections that make our writing journeys richer. Time and space to write in the serene surroundings of Penang Hill. Accommodation & Meals Participants will be accommodated at Bellevue Hotel, Penang Hill, with twin-sharing arrangements. Single-room accommodation may be available but are very limited at an additional cost. The standard retreat fee includes accommodation and meals (with options for participation and payment) throughout the programme.
