About this event

All Adults, Families, Older Adults. Join us for this global music performance as part of our Wednesday evening concerts that feature Berklee College of Music students playing a range of genres. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Camila Quintero is a multi-faceted vocalist, composer, and arranger. A passionate leader of various musical ensembles, Quintero possesses a distinct sound rooted in her Latin heritage and a love for improvised music. While pursuing her studies at Berklee College of Music, she contributes to this American art form by unapologetically presenting her identity to provoke thought on social and personal issues. Her original compositions explore themes of heartbreak, personal growth, societal expectations, and political discourse, all arranged in a genre-bending, soulful, and enchanting style. Registration is not required but the limited amount of seating is first come, first served. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved indoors to the Rabb Lecture Hall. This concert is presented in partnership with the Berklee College of Music and is also part of their Summer in the City concert series. Accessibility Notice: We strive to make our events accessible. To request a disability accommodation and/or language services, please contact the Adult Programs Department at [email protected]. Please allow at least two weeks to arrange for accommodations. Our Concerts in the Courtyard series is sponsored by Bank of America. Programming like this is additionally enabled through the generosity of a variety of public and private funding. To learn more and support our programming, visit the Boston Public Library Fund website.
