About this event

All Adults, College Students, Older Adults, Young Adults (Ages 20-34). Join the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition (MTPC) for a drop-in session to learn how to change your legal name—and get the paperwork ready to send in! Get a general overview of the legal name change process, one-on-one support with required paperwork, and more with the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition. Whether you're just getting started, have questions about the next step, or just want to be in community with others, this is a great opportunity to learn more in a supportive, affirming space. MTPC and the Brighton Branch will have blank forms, example forms, writing utensils, envelopes, help to complete MTPC's financial assistance application, volunteer notaries, and volunteer legal assistance. The Brighton Branch will also have our in-library-use board game collection out! Accessibility Notice: We strive to make our events accessible. To request a disability accommodation and/or language services, contact the department listed in the "Contact Info" pane on the right. Please allow at least two weeks to arrange accommodation.
