About this event

The Buddha's Teachings on Social and Communal Harmony. An Anthology of Discourses from the Pali Canon Edited and introduced by Bikkhu Bodhi. The basic teachings of Buddhism can make our lives more workable and give us an enlightened perspective. A chance to meditate as well as a time to explore teachings that are designed to lead us to peace and happiness. For people of all and no faiths, beginners and long time practitioners. We are fortunate to have a remarkable teacher, Vimala Franklin who brings a class via ZOOM on the last Sunday of the month. Instructors: Bhikkuni Vimala is a female Buddhist monastic with extensive training and practice who currently teaches from the Blue Lotus Temple in Woodstock, Illinois. Jim Piekarski, LMFT, Jim Piekarski is a retired Marriage and Family Therapist (CA) who lives in Venice and teaches meditation and Buddhist wisdom. He is the author of Mastering Your Emotions: Seven Steps to Transforming Emotional Reactivity. The first, second and third Sundays of the month will be offered ONSITE as well as ONLINE!
