About this event

You’re the one people call. The one who figures it out. The one who keeps going. The one who shows up even when you’re tired. The one who holds space for everybody else. And somewhere along the way, being “the strong one” may have stopped feeling like a compliment and started feeling like a responsibility you never get to put down. I’m Tired of Being the Strong One is a guided, open conversation for people who are used to carrying a lot and are ready to explore what that strength has been costing them. This is not about becoming weak, giving up, or no longer being dependable. It’s about learning that strength can also look like being honest about your capacity, asking for help, receiving support, setting limits, and allowing yourself to need people too. We’ll explore things like: • why some of us become the person everyone depends on • the difference between being strong and constantly overextending yourself • what happens when you keep pushing past your own capacity • why asking for help can feel harder than giving it • how resentment can build when you are always the one carrying the weight • whether people actually expect you to do everything, or whether you’ve learned to take everything on • how to communicate when you’re overwhelmed instead of hoping someone notices • what support actually looks like for you • how to set boundaries without feeling like you’re letting people down • how to make room for yourself without abandoning the people you care about I’ll guide the conversation with reflection questions, real-life examples, and space for honest discussion. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable sharing. The goal is for you to leave with a better understanding of what you are carrying, why you keep carrying it, and what you may need to do differently so strength no longer means doing everything alone. You don’t have to prove that you can handle it all. You don’t have to wait until you’re completely exhausted before you admit that something is too much. And you don’t have to stop being strong. Maybe you just need a new definition of strength. 💜🌱✨
