About this event
MHFA is a 12 hours internationally recognised and accredited course designed to give individuals the knowledge of common mental health problems and the ability to identify and assist someone who is developing a mental illness or is in a mental health crisis. MHFA teaches you how to respond to sufferers of anxiety, depression, psychosis and substance abuse with compassion, active listening, effective skills and structured action plans. Early detection and intervention of mental health problems prevents conditions from worsening and developing into more serious mental health disorders. Mental Health First Aiders can help save lives.
