This holiday season, as the lights dim, snowflakes swirl, sugarplums prance and Tchaikovsky’s sumptuous score soars, a young girl enters a whole new world that is as unique as it is magical. In order to defeat the sinister Rat King, Clara and the Nutcracker Prince embark on a fantastical Hong Kong adventure filled with local landmarks and traditions and even board a Star Ferry that takes them from winter into spring! This revered Christmas tradition is a timeless holiday ballet for the entire family that has been enchanting children and adults alike for generations. From a Christmas Eve party at an opulent mansion to hundreds of colourful characters magically brought to life, including high-octane racing jockeys, dancing dim sum and charming peacocks, Henderson Land Proudly Presents The Nutcracker celebrates early 20th century Hong Kong’s history, culture and natural beauty with intricate sets, breathtaking costumes and unexpected surprises that offer new discoveries at every performance.
