Jing Wang, Concertmaster of the HK Phil, takes centre stage for Glass’s The American Four Seasons, an evocative work that invites listeners to interpret the seasons through their own imagination. HK Phil’s Resident Conductor Lio Kuokman leads in Adams’s high-octane Short Ride in a Fast Machine and the monumental Harmonielehre, a powerful, immersive journey through intricately woven layers of concentrated orchestral texture.
