Toward Perpetual Peace #9
About this event
I was hoping we could get through Toward a Perpetual Peace, but we're still working through that last Appendix. READ FOR NEXT TIME For next time, please finish the book. And I recommend getting started on our next book: Religion Within the Bounds of Reason. In Perpetual Peace Finish Appendix II That is, read paragraphs 8:370 thru 8:386, which comprise Pages 338 thru 351 in Cambridge's Kant's Practical Philosophy Also, get started on Religion Within the Bounds of Reason Read Pages 52 and 53 of Translator's Introduction of the Cambridge edition IF YOU HAVE IT. Don't worry if you don't have it. It's only three paragraphs which we will read together live at the meeting. ALSO also read the Prefaces to the first and second editions and Read Part One Concerning the indwelling ofthe evil principle alongside the good or Of the radical evil in human nature. You can stop just before the Remark.
