Edmonton Writers' Group: Creative Writing Workshops

Adult. Edmonton Writers' Group presents a series of creative writing workshops for beginner-level authors, leading participants through the stages of writing and supporting the development of personal manuscripts. Please note: Working toward the goal of writing the first draft of a story, participants are strongly encouraged to attend all sessions, as they build on those previously offered. Writers should also bring a notebook or laptop with them to help capture and share their ideas with the group as the series progresses. In this session we will examine concepts of world building as virtually all fiction writing needs to do this to some degree. We will be looking at such things as: the physical world, its peoples, cultures, history, science, politics, religion and any magic that might be present in your world.
