Discussion - Topic: Confidential Computing for AI Model Weights
About this event
This week's topic: Confidential Computing for AI Model Weights Discussion resources to help guide the conversation will be posted below a few days before the meetup. Zoom link will be added about 5 min before the event starts. We’ll discuss confidential computing for AI model weights—technologies that protect proprietary models while they are being loaded, processed, and used, not just when stored or transmitted. The conversation will explore trusted execution environments, encrypted memory, remote attestation, key management, and emerging GPU-based protections. We’ll also examine practical tradeoffs: performance, deployment complexity, cloud-provider trust, intellectual-property protection, and whether these approaches can genuinely prevent model theft or unauthorized access.
