The future of AI-native is open source

About this event

Join Vultr and Weave Intelligence for a session on why NVIDIA and AMD are opening the software above their silicon, and what that hands platform teams. Learn how to compare open AI stacks, test an opinionated stack against five criteria, and decide what to build, what to source, and what your team still owns. We'll dig into: • A new era of open source: why the AI giants are giving away the layer above the accelerator, and why it lands on the platform team. • What openness buys, and what it costs: governance, sovereignty, model flexibility and cost, and how the license fee moves onto your headcount. • Evaluating an opinionated stack: five tests covering accelerator flexibility, regional autonomy, Kubernetes governance, openness and operational investment. • Build versus source: what curated public stacks change, and what stays yours to own.
