AWS Foundations Compute Storage and Network
About this event
AWS Foundations: Compute, Storage & Network How do cloud applications run, store data, and communicate? Join AWS Student Builder Group at PTIT for a hybrid Meetup exploring three building blocks of AWS: compute, storage, and networking. Through beginner-friendly explanations, practical examples, and interactive activities, we’ll explore how these concepts fit together. Whether you're starting your cloud journey or joining us after the Cloud Quest Kickoff, you're welcome to participate—in person or online. No prior AWS experience is required! 🔥 WHAT YOU'LL EXPLORE 💻 Compute: Explore Amazon EC2, AWS Lambda, and an introduction to containers. Discover different ways to run applications in the cloud. 📦 Storage: Get familiar with Amazon S3, Amazon EBS, and Amazon EFS through simple storage scenarios. 🌐 Networking: Learn the basics of Amazon VPC, subnets, and security groups, and how they fit into a cloud environment. 🎮 Kahoot! & Audience Interaction: Test your knowledge of compute, storage, and networking with a Kahoot! quiz and interactive questions. In-person and online participants will compete on one shared leaderboard, with a shared prize pool. 🗣 Live Q&A: Ask questions, discuss what you've learned, and get support with your ongoing Cloud Quest progress. 📅 AGENDA — VIETNAM TIME (UTC+7) 08:00–08:10 \| In\-person and online check\-in\, audio and screen\-sharing checks 08:10–08:20 \| Cloud basics\, AWS Regions\, and Availability Zones 08:20–08:55 \| Compute: Amazon EC2\, AWS Lambda\, and containers 08:55–09:30 \| Storage: Amazon S3\, Amazon EBS\, and Amazon EFS 09:30–09:40 \| Break 09:40–10:10 \| Networking: Amazon VPC\, subnets\, and security groups 10:10–10:25 \| Kahoot\! quiz: Compute\, Storage & Network 10:25–10:35 \| Live Q&A and Cloud Quest progress check 10:35–10:45 \| AWS Builder Center introduction\, feedback\, group photo\, and next steps 📍 EVENT INFORMATION Date: Sunday, November 8, 2026 Time: 08:00–10:45 AM (UTC+7) Format: Hybrid — join in person or online Venue: PTIT HCM.
