About this event

We have a fair number of migrant women in our community. (I am one myself: I migrated from Singapore.) Let's talk about what it's like to: • Belong somewhere + nowhere • Start over in a new environment • Make friends in a new country • Lose our support network • Lose momentum in our career • Feel conflicted when we 'go home' • Change career after 40 / having kids • Wonder if we made the wrong decision • Lose the pay / prestige we used to enjoy • Help our kids fit into a different education system • Adapt to a new language, culture, accent This is a supportive and non-judgmental space to share experiences, exchange useful resources, listen with empathy, and talk about the things only migrants will understand and relate to.
