About this event
"Most men lead lives of quiet desperation" "I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived." We look at the life and ideas of Henry David Thoreau and how they relate today. He argued that the majority of people live unexamined lives driven by material wants and societal conformity rather than authentic purpose. True freedom for Thoreau begins when we strip away the unnecessary and ask: "What do I actually need to live well?" Join the discussion on our community Discord https://discord.gg/QSwa3PMzHy
