Science & Stories: Geologic Time!

About this event

Kids (Ages 6 to 8), Tweens (Ages 9 to 11). This is science themed Story Time for grade-schoolers all about the earth, how old it is and how it has changed over time! It will feature a story about this history of our planet, read aloud by the Children's Librarian. After, kids will be able to explore fossils, casts and rock specimens from the Burke Museum, as well as a 9 1/2 foot long geologic timeline! Ages 5 and up. Registration not required. Space and materials are limited. Sponsored by the Friends of the Des Moines Library. Reasonable accommodation for people with disabilities is available by request.
