About this event

Summary: What happens when job candidates use AI bots to find jobs, write resumes, prepare for interviews, and even submit applications automatically—while employers simultaneously deploy AI bots to screen candidates, conduct interviews, rank applicants, and make hiring recommendations? We are rapidly entering a world where the first interaction between employer and candidate may not involve a human being at all. This provocative presentation explores the emerging collision between artificial intelligence, employment practices, and the legal system itself. Drawing on a remarkable real-world experience report involving AI-driven interactions, we will examine how AI is reshaping every stage of the employment lifecycle—from job hunting and candidate screening to dispute resolution and litigation. Among the topics we will explore: • The rise of AI-powered job seekers and autonomous career agents • AI-driven candidate screening, interviewing, and hiring decisions • The growing "AI vs. AI" hiring ecosystem, where bots increasingly interact with other bots before humans become involved • Transparency, fairness, bias, explainability, and accountability challenges in AI-assisted employment decisions • The surprisingly low barriers to initiating lawsuits in the digital era and the growing phenomenon of nuisance and troll litigation • How generative AI is transforming legal research, case preparation, evidence analysis, and litigation strategy • The future of AI-generated claims, AI-generated defenses, and AI-assisted legal proceedings • The broader societal implications when algorithms participate in both hiring decisions and legal disputes arising from those decisions As AI adoption accelerates, organizations face a difficult balancing act: leveraging automation for efficiency while navigating unprecedented legal, ethical, and regulatory risks. At the same time, candidates must learn how to compete—and sometimes collaborate—with increasingly sophisticated AI systems that influence employment outcomes. Recent reporting shows that AI interviews, AI recruiters, and AI screening systems are rapidly moving from experimentation into mainstream hiring practice. This session will feature a distinguished panel of two highly experienced attorneys whose collective expertise spans artificial intelligence, intellectual property, employment law, HR technology, and the legal implications of AI-enabled workforce management. Together, they will provide practical insights into the opportunities, risks, and emerging legal precedents that organizations, HR leaders, technologists, attorneys, and job seekers need to understand. The future may not be human versus machine. It may be AI versus AI—with humans left to determine the rules.
