Sensory Storytime Social for Neurodivergent Children
About this event
Preschool Children (0-5), School Age Children (6-12). Join us for a series of adapted Sensory Storytimes for children aged 4-12 and their families to enjoy stories, songs, and rhymes in a sensory-aware environment with sensory tools, toys and accessories. Afterwards, join us for a 30-minute Stay and Play activity session where children can explore sensory bins, and adults can connect with other parents and caregivers, and discover helpful resources. These programs are specifically designed to be welcoming to neurodivergent children, including autistic children and those with sensory processing differences. The programs will take place inside S. Walter Stewart Auditorium, with access to the Sensory Room. This program is a neurodivergent positive space. Registrants will receive a Venue Guide describing accessibility features, sensory accommodations, and further details a few weeks before the program.
