About this event

Adults: 18 and up, Teens: 13 to 19 years. Jeff Kruse, Director of Operations of Edgar Miller Legacy and scriptwriter for the newly published graphic novel A Total Work of Art, will present on the life and times of the prolific, twentieth century Near North Side Chicago artist Edgar Miller, as well as give a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the fully illustrated biography of the artist. Appropriate and educational for teenage readers and up, both the graphic novel and this presentation will explore the questions Miller posed to himself throughout his career, which are the hallmarks of his legacy today: What is the purpose of art, and why do we as humans feel compelled to make it?
