In the fifth year of Emperor Taizong of Tang (851 AD), the Dunhuang messenger delegation led by Gao Jinda arrived in Chang'an. Gao Jinda presented a map he had personally drawn, bringing back the good news of the resumption of communication for the "lost" Dunhuang (Shazhou City) that had been out of contact for over half a century. According to historical records, the envoys set out in the second year of Da Zhong (848 AD) to avoid being pursued and took a detour through the northern deserts. During the perilous and long journey, the belief of "returning home" bound the family and the country together...

唐大中五載（公元851年），以押衙高進達為首的敦煌信使團抵達長安。高進達呈上親手繪制的輿圖，為「失聯」半個多世紀的敦煌（沙州城）送回了捷報。 據文獻記載，信使團自大中二年（公元848年）出發，為躲避追擊繞道漠北。九死一生的漫漫長路中，「歸來」的信念將家與國緊緊相連……
