Live Masterclass + Q&A: How to Start Strength Training After 50 at Home
About this event
If you walk every day and think that’s got you covered, this session will change your mind. Walking is wonderful, but it doesn’t stop the muscle loss that starts in your 40s and speeds up after 50. Strength training does, and it’s far gentler and simpler than you’ve been led to believe. We’ll start with quick introductions, then spend 45 minutes on: • Why muscle disappears after 50, and why walking alone doesn’t stop it • What strength training actually looks like for a beginner (no barbells, no gym, no bootcamp) • The two 30-minute workouts a week that rebuild strength, balance and bone density with nothing but a resistance band • How to start safely if you have sore knees, a bad back, or no confidence at all • Open Q&A: bring your questions, including the ones you’ve been embarrassed to ask Who it’s for: women over 40 (most of us are 45 to 70), especially if you’re brand new to strength training or coming back after years away. No experience, no equipment, nothing to prepare. How it works: it’s on Zoom. RSVP and you’ll get the link. Can’t make it live? RSVP anyway and I’ll send the replay. And the Saturday after: on November 21 at 10am we’ll do a free 30-minute live class so you can try everything we talk about. It’s listed as a separate event in this group. Looking forward to sharing some great advice to help you start the right way and take control of your own health again!
